Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres has submitted its candidacy for the fifth edition of the Forbes-UBS Sustainability Awards 2026, an initiative organised by Forbes Spain in collaboration with UBS to highlight the commitment of Spanish companies to sustainability and the adoption of responsible business models.

The awards ceremony, held on 22 October at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid, brought together representatives from a wide range of business sectors to recognise initiatives that integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into their growth strategies.

Through its candidacy, Marqués de Cáceres sought to share its vision of sustainability as a far-reaching commitment that begins in the vineyard and extends to winemaking processes, innovation, environmental protection and responsibility towards people and the local community.

Sustainability at the Heart of Our Identity

Since its foundation, Marqués de Cáceres has maintained a close connection with the land and its winemaking heritage. This relationship has evolved over more than five decades and is now reflected in the winery’s commitment to integrating sustainability into its business model.

Respect for the vineyards, biodiversity conservation and the responsible use of natural resources are among the guiding principles of this philosophy. These are complemented by a continuous search for innovative solutions that contribute to more efficient and environmentally responsible winemaking practices.

Among the initiatives that demonstrate this commitment are projects focused on preserving biodiversity and the achievement of *Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection* certification at its Rueda winery, marking another step forward in embedding sustainability principles throughout its operations.

Innovating to Preserve the Future

For Marqués de Cáceres, tradition and innovation go hand in hand. More than fifty years of experience are combined with a constant drive to evolve, enabling the winery to address the challenges facing today’s wine industry while remaining true to the identity and quality of its wines.

In this context, sustainability represents not only a responsibility towards future generations but also an opportunity to continue developing viticultural and winemaking practices that respect and protect the environment.

The winery’s candidacy for the Forbes-UBS Sustainability Awards 2026 reflects this long-term vision and its desire to share with the Spanish business community an approach to growth founded on excellence, innovation and responsibility.

Through its participation, Marqués de Cáceres reaffirms its commitment to building a more sustainable future, firmly believing that the quality of a great wine begins with respect for the land from which it originates.
